DIY CNC router for home use – build manual (download) & kit (shipping)
Travel ranges 650 x 515 x 150 mm
Wood, plastics & more – clean, precise, repeatable
Here you get both options: a detailed build manual as a download and, if you want, the matching kit delivered to you for a well-thought-out DIY CNC router. The manual guides you step by step through assembly, installation and alignment so you can quickly end up with a stable, precise machine.
The kit is ideal if you want to skip cutting and marking out the panels: you receive the CNC-milled parts as well as the required screws for the mechanical base assembly – matched to the manual.
Important: What’s included – and what isn’t?
Included in the kit:
• CNC-milled parts for the build
• screws for assembling the base structure
Not included (must be sourced separately):
• linear guides / profile rails or supported round rails
• bearings / bearing blocks
• ball screws (or alternative drives) incl. ball nut housing
• motors (e.g. steppers/servos) and couplings
• control/electronics (controller, drivers, PSU, limit switches, wiring)
• spindle/router motor and tool holder
This way you can choose guides, screws and electronics to fit your budget, requirements and availability. The manual explains which components are required and what to look for when choosing and installing them.
How it works
1) Build manual (download)
After purchase, the build manual is available as a download. It includes assembly sequences, exploded/overview drawings, a bill of materials (with separate positions for kit and purchased parts), alignment tips and notes on useful upgrades.
2) Kit (shipping)
The kit is shipped and contains the milled parts and the screws for assembly. You can start right away once the separately sourced components (guides, screws, motors, control) are ready.
3) Your own setup
Choose drives and guides to match your use case (e.g. ball screws for high precision). The manual shows how to mount everything properly, adjust and align it with minimal play.
